4. Sources
Most information comes directly from you when you submit an enquiry, register a product, upload an optional purchase document, email or telephone us. Product information may also be associated with manufacturing, sales, distributor or service records already held by LiquiCount. Technical information may be generated by the website and hosting service. If you consent to analytics cookies, usage information is also generated through Google Analytics.
5. Sharing
Registration information is transferred securely from this website to LiquiCount’s private customer and product administration system. We may also share information where necessary with trusted providers supporting hosting, email, IT security, analytics, professional advice and administration. They may process information only for the relevant service and under appropriate safeguards. We may disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights, or during a business reorganisation or sale.
6. International transfers
Some providers, including Google, may process information outside the UK. We will use an applicable UK adequacy regulation or approved contractual safeguards and supplementary measures where required. You can request further information from us.
7. Retention
- General enquiries: normally up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact.
- Customer, order, tax and contractual records: normally up to six years after the relevant transaction or relationship ends, unless longer retention is required.
- Security and server logs: normally up to 30 days, unless needed for an investigation or legal purpose.
- Google Analytics event data: normally up to 14 months, subject to the retention settings applied to our Google Analytics property.
Product registration and service-history records are normally retained for the useful support life of the product and for up to six years afterwards where required for contractual, safety, compliance or legal purposes. Optional proof-of-purchase documents are retained only while reasonably needed to administer the registration, support or a related claim. Marketing-consent records are retained until consent is withdrawn and for a limited period afterwards to demonstrate and respect that choice.
We may retain information longer for legal claims, compliance, investigations or an active issue. Information no longer required is deleted or anonymised.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure.
9. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and objection.
You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. We will stop unless compelling legitimate grounds apply or processing is required for legal claims. You can always object to direct marketing.
Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Email enquiries@liquicount.co.uk to exercise a right. We may need to verify your identity.
10. Complaints
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office through ico.org.uk.
11. Cookies and Analytics
See our Cookie policy. Google Analytics is not loaded unless you accept analytics cookies. You can withdraw consent or change your choice at any time through the website’s Cookie settings control.
12. Changes
We may update this policy when our website, services, suppliers or legal obligations change. The effective date identifies the current version.
